The President of the United States, Joe Biden, and the first lady Jill Biden received Christmas carols on Monday on the occasion of Halloween, the first holiday of this type that was celebrated by the American presidential family at the White House after taking office, Reuters reports, according to Agerpres.

The Bidens, joined by other family members such as their daughter Naomi, greeted the children, offering them candy, waving and encouraging words.

Joe Biden, who was in Europe last year for Halloween, was particularly impressed by a child dressed in a chip bag costume and took photos with a child dressed as Buzz Lightyear, a character from the „Toy Story” animation franchise, created by Walt Disney Co and Pixar.

Carolers also received sweets from representatives of the Department of Education, the Department of Transportation, NASA, the Secret Service, the Peace Corps, the White House Fire Department, and White House staff.
