UDMR President Kelemen Hunor said after consultations at Cotroceni that early elections remain a constitutional, legal and democratic solution, but they should not be the first option.
“Nor is it a good thing if the next prime minister fails to muster a majority,” Kelemen Hunor also said.
“I said that it was one of the possibilities if we want to have a government made up of experts, people who understand administration, who have the necessary experience and the requisite authority in their respective ministries to run those ministries, but the designated prime minister, once voted in, must still have the ability to engage in dialogue with the parties in Parliament, because on the following day, if the government is left on its own, it will not even be able to draw up the budget without a parliamentary majority,” he said.
