Senate president Nicolae Ciuca conveyed a message on Wednesday on National Flag Day, stressing that the tricolour flag must be honored and served, doing our duty to our homeland, wherever in the world we are.

„Under the colours of the tricolour flag lie the stories of all those who built Romania today. On National Flag Day, we celebrate one of the fundamental symbols of the Romanian people – a testament to our courage, unity and solidarity. Whether we see it at official ceremonies, at sports competitions or in military theaters of operations, the tricolour flag makes our hearts flutter. We must honour and serve it, doing our duty to our homeland, wherever we are in the world. Let us commit to building a better future together, guided by the colors of our flag and the values we cherish. Happy Birthday to our Tricolor Flag! Happy birthday, Romania!,” Nicolae Ciuca wrote on Wednesday on his Facebook page.

On June 26, Romania celebrates National Flag Day.
