Liberal Ciuca speaks about future collaboration among right-wing parties: PSD can’t have it all

Leader of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Nicolae Ciuca on Monday spoke about a future right wing project, to include parties such as USR (Save Romania Union), REPER, PMP (People’s Movement Party), Forta Dreptei, while adding that „PSD (Social Democratic Party) wants to have it all,” which cannot be.

„Romanians have that sense they rely upon every time, and now, as we were able to see at their Congress, PSD wants to have it all. However, this cannot be, they cannot have the Government and the President, because this would mean that we would return to the one-party state formula. Romanians are wiser than that, they are wiser than us, and they know how to balance state powers, which is very important for me – and this is why I called on all the right wing parties, because we are not talking about one person here, but about a cause, and I invited them to built together a political entity to be able to continue this type of economy in the Romanian political area,” Ciuca told Antena 3 CNN private television broadcaster.

When asked which were the right wing parties he had in mind, he said: „USR considers itself a right wing party. (…) For now, we’ve taken a break to think, we are thinking.”

„And there are also the other smaller parties,” he added, mentioning People’s Movement Party, REPER, Forta Dreptei. „We should do this for a cause, for a project. We will discuss and build this together,” he showed.

When asked who will win the presidential elections, Nicolae Ciuca said: „Myself.”
