Liberal Nicolae Ciuca, elected new president of the Senate

The National Liberal party’s leader, Nicolae Ciuca, was elected president of the Senate in Tuesday’s plenary session, write Agerpres.

Voting was secret with ballots, with 88 votes „for” and 16 „against”.

Anca Dragu (Save Romania Union, USR) also submitted her candidacy for this position, yet she obtained 16 votes „for” and 88 „against”.
