Local authority: Over 100 Ukrainian companies have relocated businesses to Chernivtsi region

Published on

Over 100 Ukrainian companies from the regions heavily affected by the war have relocated their businesses to the Chernivtsi region, the vice president of the Regional Council, Mykola Guitor, told Agerpres.

According to him, the resettlement process is a complex one, but the efforts are worth it since the new production capacities create jobs and generate income for the region’s budget, in the context where expenses are increased by the state of war.

„More than 100 businesses have started their activity on the territory of the Chernivtsi region. We are talking about small companies and large industrial units. If the relocation of a communal institution is not a problem for us, because we have buildings in which we can provide shelter, when enterprises are relocated, they have certain requirements in connection with the size of the halls and infrastructure. They tell us, for example, that in order to carry out the activity they need 200 KW, they need things that we find difficult to provide. It is certainly not an easy process, but we try to find the necessary spaces so that they continue their activity here, in our region. For us this is very important because, through them, we obtain additional funds in the region’s budget and new jobs are created,” explained Guitor.
