LOCAL ELECTION/Partial results of vote for CGMB: PSD – 27%, ADU – 26.55%, PNL – 12.41%

After the count of the votes from 1,021 out of 1,289 polling stations organized in Bucharest, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the United Right Alliance (ADU) are neck to neck in the battle for the Bucharest General Council (CGMB): according to data uploaded on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority (prezenta.roaep.ro) as of 9:00, the PSD garnered 27 percent of the votes (148,760), and ADU – 26.55 percent (146,248).

The ranking of the political formations as per the partial results of the Bucharesters’ vote count is as follows:

Social Democratic Party (PSD) – 27 percent (148,760)

United Right Alliance (ADU) – 26.55 percent (146,248)

National Liberal Party (PNL) – 12.41 percent (68,354)

Humanist Social Liberal Party (PUSL) – 10.11 percent (55,715)

Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) – 8.22 percent (45,304)

REPER – 6.98 percent (38,469)

SOS Romania – 4.21 percent (23,213)

Ecologist Party of Romania (PER) – 2.65 percent (14,612)

Right Alternative – 1.86 (10,225)

According to the Central Electoral Bureau, the voter turnout in Bucharest by the close of the polls at 22:00 was 41.28 percent.

According to the exit poll conducted by CURS-Avangarde and released on Sunday evening, the United Right Alliance (USR – PMP – Force of the Right) was credited with 30 percent of the vote, followed by the Social Democratic Party – 28 percent, the National Liberal Party – 12 percent, and the Alliance for the Union of Romanians – 10 percent.
