LocalPartialElections2025/AEP: Rigorous technical preparation – an essential element

The Permanent Electoral Authority, together with the Special Telecommunications Service, is organizing two national simulations regarding the functioning of the IT systems and applications used in the local by-elections on December 7.

According to a post on the AEP Facebook page, the simulations take place on November 28 and December 2.

Computer operators designated in polling stations participate in these activities, as part of the mandatory training and testing process of the Computer System for monitoring voting attendance and preventing illegal voting.

„We thank the Ministry of Education for the support given to the implementation of the simulations, which will take place in the polling stations, usually organized in educational institutions. Rigorous technical training remains an essential element for the correct and safe implementation of the electoral process,” the cited source states.
