Ludovic Orban says he will win presidential elections if he reaches second round with Marcel Ciolacu

The president of the Force of Right party, Ludovic Orban, candidate for this year’s presidential elections, believes that he will win the electoral race if he reaches the second round with PSD leader Marcel Ciolacu.

„I consider that I am recommended by a vast career in the public service, a career that is in full public light, in which I served the citizen no matter what public position I held throughout this career. (…) I would like to reach [the second round] with a democratic candidate, who has a serious political offer, who has a suitable background (…), any of those who are part of the democratic zone, from the center-right zone, untouched by the power of this transition that never ends. But if I face Ciolacu in the second round, I guarantee 100% that I will win”, said Orban on Pro TV on Wednesday.

He stated that he will do „almost everything” differently than President Klaus Iohannis.

„I would be a present president, first of all, not an absent president, an involved president, not one who watches from a distance. I would make all public expenses transparent, I would be a sensible, humane president, concerned with the needs of Romanians, open, a president who communicates with society, who tells the truth (…) a sensitive, humane president who is truly concerned of the life of every Romanian”, Orban also said.
