Maia Sandu: If Russia dares to attack the Republic of Moldova, we will take available protective measures

Published on

If Russia dares to attack the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, the authorities will implement the available protection measures, President Maia Sandu said on Monday during a joint press conference with her Georgian counterpart, Salome Zurabişvili, who was in a visit to Chisinau, reports Deschide.md, Agerpres reads.

„Citizens’ safety is the main concern… We have made requests to partners to strengthen defense capabilities including on this dimension. We have quite good discussions, when we will have concrete results we will let you know. I hope we will not end up in this situation, but if Russia dares to attack the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, we will implement protective measures”, Maia Sandu said.
