Maia Sandu, the president of the Republic of Moldova – received at Elisabeta Palace

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, who is on a working visit to our country, was received, on Monday, by the Custodian of the Crown, Her Majesty Margareta, at the Elisabeta Palace, write Agerpres.

Upon entering the Elisabeta Palace, Maia Sandu was greeted by Her Majesty and the Prince Consort, and then she was invited to the Hall of Kings.

Maia Sandu planted an oak tree in the garden of the Elisabeta Palace, being later invited by the Royal Family to a lunch.

At the end of the visit, the President of the Republic of Moldova will sign the Golden Book of the Elisabeta Palace, opened in 1937.

Representatives of the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, the Moldovan ambassador, Victor Chirila, members of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest take part in the visit.

In the afternoon, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, will participate, at the Cotroceni Palace, in a trilateral meeting, hosted by President Klaus Iohannis, in which the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, who is visiting Romania, will also take part.
