The National Defence Ministry (MApN) informed that, based on the data currently available, amid developments in the security situation in Iran, there is no military threat to the national territory and mentioned that it is in permanent contact with its allies, coordinating with them.
„From the data that the National Defence Ministry has at this time, amid the development of the security situation in Iran, no military threat to the national territory results. The Romanian Army permanently has forces on duty ensuring the surveillance of the air, naval, land, informational and cyber spaces, as well as the detection of threats and immediate response. Military personnel and civilian specialists are daily, 24/7, on permanent and intervention duty,” the MApN Press Office conveyed on Sunday.
The Army has adjusted its posture and measures have been ordered to increase vigilance and prepare the systems that complement the immediate reaction forces.
At the same time, the US naval facility at Deveselu, integrated into NATO’s command and control system, ensures anti-ballistic protection against emerging threats from outside the Euro-Atlantic area.
The National Defence Ministry is in permanent contact with its allies and coordinates with them at all levels, the MApN also informed.
