Ciprian Ciucu, Mayor of Bucharest’s Sector 6 and the National Liberal Party (PNL) candidate in the 7 December election for Bucharest City Hall, submitted his candidacy file to the Municipal Electoral Bureau on Thursday.

He was accompanied by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, the chairperson of the National Liberal Party.

On 4 November, the PNL National Political Bureau unanimously endorsed Ciprian Ciucu’s candidacy for the Bucharest General Mayoralty, following the proposal of the party’s Bucharest branch.

Ciucu aims to provide Bucharest residents with a modern, efficient administration focused on concrete solutions for the city’s development, the PNL said at the time. AGERPRES
