Military expert: Russia – incapable of triggering war in Europe with serious consequences for ten years

Published on

Military expert Hari Bucur Marcu has said that „Russia is not prepared for successful operations and is unlikely to trigger a war in Europe with serious consequences for at least the next ten years,” informs a press release sent to AGERPRES.

He made the remarks on Monday evening during a debate on war held at the ASTRA Film Festival in Sibiu, following the screening of the documentary The Living (Cei vii).

The discussion was streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.

In the film The Living (dir. Anca Hirte, Romania – 2025), „four Romanians marked by the war in Afghanistan – Costi, Dan, Matei and Bianca, the widow of a fallen comrade – speak openly about the profound impact of the physical and psychological wounds they have suffered. The film functions as a collective confession, combining intimate testimonies with personal archive footage, recordings from missions at the front, and glimpses of life after returning home,” the press release said.

The ASTRA Film Festival continues in Sibiu until 26 October, presenting dozens of documentaries from around the world. AGERPRES
