Published on

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, together with the president of the Prahova County Council and the head of the State Sanitary Inspection within the Ministry of Health, will visit on Wednesday, starting at 4:30 p.m., the five health units in Prahova County that are facing a lack of water supply.

According to the Ministry of Health, these are the Câmpina Municipal Hospital, the Voila Psychiatric Hospital, the Floresti Pneumophthisiology Hospital, the Baicoi City Hospital and the Breaza Pneumology Hospital.

„The visit aims to verify the critical situation in health units, the way in which medical services are provided to patients and the measures implemented for the safe operation of health units. The Ministry of Health will continue monitoring the situation and collaborating with local authorities to ensure all health safety conditions,” the Ministry of Health said in a press release.

Residents of 12 localities in Prahova County and one locality in Dambovita County will receive drinking water from the State Reserves, following a decision by the National Committee for Emergency Situations on Tuesday, which approved the provision of emergency humanitarian aid for localities affected by the lack of drinking water.

The decision was issued in the context of the situation generated by the decrease in the water level in the Paltinu reservoir caused by the hydrotechnical works scheduled at the dam, corroborated with the increase in turbidity and the volume of alluvium determined by the hydrological phenomena associated with the orange code, elements that affected the quality of raw water and imposed the interruption of the drinking water supply in 12 localities in Prahova County and one locality in Dambovita County, affecting the living conditions of the population, as announced by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations.AGERPRES
