The head of the United States Army Europe Command (USEUCOM), General Christopher G. Cavoli, and the Romanian Chief of Defence Staff, General Daniel Petrescu, will be the hosts of the Conference of the Chiefs of Defence from Central Europe, on Thursday and on Friday, at the Ministry of National Defence and the Romanian Senate respective headquarters, write Agerpres.
The meeting will be attended by the Chiefs of Defence from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary, accompanied by senior non-commissioned officers and USEUCOM representatives. Also, nine military leaders of the National Guard structures from the United States of America will take part, the Ministry of National Defence states in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Wednesday.
The conference will address topics regarding security challenges aiming to strengthen military cooperation to ensure stability in the region.
On June 9, at the Palace of the Parliament, the Commander of the United States Army Command in Europe and the Chief of the Defence Staff will hold a joint press conference.
The United States Army Europe Command (USEUCOM) is the structure responsible for the military operations of the United States of America in Europe, in areas of Asia and the Middle East, and in the Arctic and Atlantic oceans. USEUCOM is made up of over 65,000 troops and civilian personnel from the United States of America, permanently deployed in a rotational system, who work in close connection with the troops of allied and partner nations.
