On Tuesday, the Ministry of Finance borrowed 105 million RON from the banks, in addition to Monday’s auctions, when it borrowed 1.097 billion RON, at interest rates of 6.29% per annum, respectively 6.69% per annum, through two issues of benchmark state bonds.
The nominal value of the two additional issues was 75 million RON and 30 million RON, respectively. The banks submitted offers worth 200 million RON, respectively 50 million RON.
The Ministry of Finance has planned, in June 2024, loans from commercial banks in the amount of 6.2 billion RON, to which the amount of 750 million RON can be added through additional sessions of non-competitive offers, related to bond auctions.
The total amount, of 6.95 billion RON, is 1.06 billion RON higher than the one that was programmed in May 2024, of 5.89 billion RON, and will be intended for refinancing the public debt and financing the budget deficit.
