Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends avoiding any trip to Lebanon, in context of current tensions

Published on

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) reminds that, in the context of the latest developments in the security situation in the Republic of Lebanon and the increased risk of escalation, a level 8/9 warning is in force – „Avoid any trip” for the entire territory of this state.

The MAE reminds Romanian citizens of the existence of major security risks for the integrity of citizens, caused by the unpredictability of the escalation, which also affects the availability of commercial flights and travel routes.

The Foreign Ministry strongly recommends the Romanian citizens who are already in Lebanon to leave the territory of this state through the air routes still available.

At the same time, the MAE strongly recommends Romanian citizens who are in the Lebanese Republic to register their presence at the Romanian Embassy in Beirut.

The contact details of the diplomatic mission are: Rue du Palais Presidentiel, Baabda, B.P. 40227; website: beirut.mae.ro, e-mail: beirut@mae.ro.

Romanian citizens can request consular assistance at the telephone numbers of the Embassy of Romania in Beirut: +961 5 924 849, calls being redirected to the Contact and Support Center for Romanian Citizens Abroad (CCSCRS) and answered by Call Center operators on a permanent basis, as well as the emergency telephone line of the Romanian Embassy in Beirut: +961 76 775 503.
