The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, spoke in his message dedicated to Romania’s National Day about „the duty to carry forward the legacy of the Great Union through courageous reforms, responsible decisions and solidarity.”
„December 1, National Day, is a moment of reflection, when we honor the past, our identity and the values ??that unite us as a people. The past reminds us of the sacrifice of our ancestors and the strength of the common ideals that made the Great Union possible. We owe them boundless gratitude, to those who had the wisdom and will to build the destiny of modern Romania. Only after looking at the past can we turn our attention to the present we live in, but also to the future we build together. We have the duty to carry forward the legacy of the Great Union through courageous reforms, through responsible decisions and through solidarity. The trust we have in ourselves, as a people, in the power of our union, in our hearts, shows us the way to the future, a future in which we act with maturity and respect for citizens and for a modern and efficient Romania,” Abrudean said in the video message posted on his social media page..
Mircea Abrudean urged Romanians to make the legacy of the Great Union „a living resource, which inspires the ideals of a Romania part of a united, stable, peaceful and secure Europe.”AGERPRES
