The president of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Nicolae Ciuca, declared, on Tuesday, in Poiana Mare commune, Dolj county, that the model of liberal administration consists in the efficient spending of money and the development of projects locally from its own budget, urging the candidates of the formation to tell the people the reality, not to deceive them with „empty words”.
„The model of liberal administration is to be able to manage the money as well as possible and to develop projects at the local level from its own budget, and it managed to develop such projects at the level of the commune [the mayor of Poiana Mare commune]. I ask everyone to tell the people the truth. There is no point in coming and talking about all kinds of projects, to deceive people, because we are doing nothing but to deceive ourselves. There is no way to hide it, because it is visible, the person is at the center of all the promises. And when it comes to local elections, it is not necessarily about ideologies, but about people. People choose people who have done something in their lives and who are able to work together with the team with which they intend to administer a locality give credibility,” Nicolae Ciuca said in Poiana Mare at a meeting with PNL candidates.
The president of the liberals addressed several problems that Dolj county is facing, such as desertification, the lack of natural gas in three quarters of the county, the lack of highways that connect regions that allow quick access to the region, or the lack of production capacities for the processing of agricultural production.
Nicolae Ciuca also stated that through his senatorial cabinet he managed to pay more attention to the problem of desertification in Dolj.
At the same time, the PNL president recalled some objectives of the liberal policy, such as supporting the middle class, developing the business milieu, consolidating Romanian capital, but also creating a local foundation that would ensure those conditions for development, including infrastructure. „During the liberal government, for the first time, more precisely in 2022, Romania’s economic growth was based more on the investment side than on the consumption side. Under liberal responsibility, we increased the investment budget every year”, Nicolae Ciuca also stated.
