Moldovan president met British Minister for Equalities and Intergovernmental Relations in London

The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, met in London with Nadhim Zahawi, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, the British Minister for Equality and Intergovernmental Relations. The officials discussed regional security and the challenges that the Republic of Moldova and the entire European continent must face due to the war started by Russia in Ukraine, according to the presidential press service.

„The head of state mentioned that the aim of the authorities in Chisinau is to maintain peace and stability in the country, and to ensure the resilience of the economy and citizens in the conditions of the energy crisis, which is increasingly accentuated with the approach of winter. In the same way, the interlocutors discussed possibilities of cooperation in the fields of energy, for combating disinformation and propaganda, reforming justice and fighting corruption”, it is shown in the statement.
