More than 1.1 million employees in Bucharest at the end of October 2024 (INS)

There were 1,101,562 of employees in Bucharest city at the end of October 2024, up by 22,277 people (plus 2.06%) compared to the same period in 2023, according to data centralized by the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

At the end of October 2024, the average gross salary was 10,810 RON (9,692 RON in October 2023), while the net one was 6,573 RON (5,984 RON in the same month of the previous year).

On the other hand, at the end of October 2024, there were 9,501 registered unemployed in Bucharest and the unemployment rate stood at 0.8%.

As for state social insurance pensioners, at the end of the third quarter of last year their number was 469,421 and the average pension amounted to 3,117 RON.
