More than 126,000 travelers, including 14,623 Ukrainians, enter Romania on June 26

Approximately 257,700 people, Romanian and foreign nationals, and over 61,500 means of transport underwent border checks at all of Romania’s crossing points on June 26, on both the inbound and the outbound, the General Border Police Inspectorate (IGPF) reports, write Agerpres.

As many as 126,290 travelers of whom 14,623 Ukrainian nationals entered Romania on June 26, the IGPF said.

According to the IGPF, the number of Ukrainians who crossed into Romania since the pre-war date of February 10 is 4,727,222.

As part of the specific activities at crossing points and the green border, the border police found 38 illegal acts (22 crimes and 16 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens. The value of the seized undeclared goods amounts to approximately RON 57,500.

Fines worth over RON 12,450 were also issued.

12 foreign citizens who did not meet the legal requirements were denied entry to the country, and 31 Romanian citizens were also not allowed to leave the country for various legal reasons.
