More than 373,000 people cross border points throughout the country on Sunday

Approximately 373,400 people, Romanian citizens and foreigners, with over 88,300 means of transport, carried out, on Sunday, the control formalities, both in the direction of entry and exit, through border points throughout the country, General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPF) informs in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Monday, write Agerpres.

Approximately 197,000 persons crossed the border into Romania, including 18,188 Ukrainian citizens.

Regarding specific activities, in areas of competence – the crossing points and the „green border” – the border police detected, on Sunday, 56 illegal acts (25 crimes and 31 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens.

The goods seized for confiscation were worth more than 95,000 RON.

The amount of fines applied amounted to approximately 47,900 RON.

On Sunday, 22 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided for by law were not allowed to enter the country, and 28 Romanian citizens were also not allowed to leave, for various legal reasons.
