The National Council of the PNL on Sunday validated the candidacy of Nicolae Ciuca for the presidency of Romania.

The secretary general of the PNL, Lucian Bode, announced that the decision was taken unanimously.

„From today on, all the Liberals, with strong support, through exemplary mobilization, discipline and unity will gather around the candidate, Mr. Nicolae Ciuca. We have only one objective: victory in the elections, the victory of the National Liberal Party. For Romania, with Nicolae Ciuca, the future President of Romania,” said Bode.

Nicolae Ciuca stated that he is honoured by the trust given to him.

„Thank you very much, I am honoured by the trust you have shown that you have in me today. And I am convinced that this vote of confidence represents your commitment, together with me, to carry forward the tradition and the coat of arms of the National Liberal Party,” was Nicolae Ciuca’s first reaction.
