„I would like to dedicate my December 1 message to those who know the hard work behind winning a medal, a title, high performance, regardless of fieldS. To those who make us proud I wish continued strength, confidence and to fight to the end for their ideals. Happy birthday, Romania!” the minister wrote on Facebook.

In a statement published on its official website, the Romanian Olympic Committee delivered a message of unity on the occasion of the National Day.

„Happy birthday, Romania! Happy birthday, Romanians! This is a year in which the incredible achievements of our athletes raised us to our feet applauding, our hearts pounding with happiness, like in the old days, a year in which we felt that hope and pride is reborn, supported by young athletes, models of life and perseverance for all of us, a year that marks the pre-warming for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games: the qualifications have begun. On December 1, 2022, the day of all Romanians, we are once again closing ranks because history shows us that together, united, we can conquer the mountains. #allfor1 is Team Romania’s slogan for the Paris 2024Olympic Games. Let’s turn it into an amazing reality together! All for Romania!”
