National strategy on intelligent transport systems for 2022 – 2030, approved by government

The national strategy on the intelligent transport systems for 2022 – 2030 was approved in Wednesday’s government sitting, the Executive informs in a press release, according to Agerpres.

According to the government, the piece of legislation includes the National Strategy on Intelligent Transport Systems for the period 2022 – 2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation, „documents that define the framework and priorities for the development of intelligent transport systems to contribute to the increase of the level of road safety, the increase of the efficiency of the transport activity and the reduction of the negative impact on the environment for the national network, as well as the interfaces with the other modes of transport”.

„The approval of the Strategy represents a conditionality established by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), according to the milestone no. 65 Approval of the Strategy and action plan on intelligent transport systems (ITS), part of reform no. 1 Sustainable transport, decarbonisation and road safety of component C4. Sustainable transport,” the source said.
