Natural gas prices in Europe fall to a three-month low, in a time when the European Union is preparing to follow new measures designed to reduce volatility on the most important market, in an attempt to counter the energy crisis, reports Bloomberg, Agerpres reads.

Monday, around 10:10 a.m., on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, where European benchmark prices are set, gas futures for delivery next month were down 5.7% to 133.89 euros per Megawatt-hour , the lowest intraday level recorded since June 29.

The European Union has already asked member states to voluntarily reduce their gas consumption by 15%.

Europe’s gas storage capacity is currently at 92%, above the multi-year average for this time of year.
