The need for investments in the electricity distribution infrastructure, until 2030, is somewhere between 9 and 11 billion euros, taking into account different targets, said on Tuesday Daniela Daraban, CEO, Federation of Associations of Energy Utilities (ACUE), during the „RoInvest – 5th Edition” conference, organized in Bucharest, on Tuesday.
„If up to now, somewhere around 500 million euros per year have been invested in distribution, on average, with the current investment requirement, we should reach somewhere around 1 billion euros, this being the basic scenario, 1, 5 billion euros is the necessary scenario to face the ambitions that we see through the established national objectives,” said Daniela Daraban.
She specified that the part of investment in distribution is „very, very dependent on the regulatory framework”, because there is a „lack of coordination, consistency, alignment between regulations and national decisions”.
The government investment program, the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) for 2024-2025 and the European funds in the multiannual framework for Romania were just some of the topics of discussion proposed during the above-mentioned conference.
