Net budget revenues exceed 300 bn RON at end-August

Net budget revenues exceeded 300 billion RON at the end of August this year, an amount that represents an increase of almost 50 billion compared to last year, announced the Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos.

„The digitization of tax authority ANAF is bringing results: at the end of August we exceeded the threshold of 300 billion RON in net budget revenues. We are talking about an increase of almost 50 billion RON compared to last year, the degree of meeting of the collection program being at 104% per month August. We have an increase of almost 10 billion RON in VAT alone, speaking of the wave of discussions on this topic”, the minister of finance wrote on his Facebook account on Thursday evening.

According to him, expanding digital services and ensuring the inter-operability of IT systems will contribute to increasing compliance, as well as improving the organizational efficiency of ANAF.

The minister of finance argued, in the context, that the package dedicated to massive data collection, through the implementation of the SAF-T, e-Invoice, e-Transport systems, the interconnection of cash registers, as well as the inter-operability of databases, led to the provision of fiscal data consistent with the risk analysis system, an activity that results in the reduction of tax evasion, and in the increase in collected revenues.

„Certainly there are criticisms, some justified, others a facade. Some people don’t like ANAF interfering in their business and they know how to make their voice heard. However, we remain open to any observations and try to improve our systems through dialogue and cooperation with the business milieu. It is certain that the digitization measures we have implemented are, in the end, the key to ensuring the budget balance. Even if some people do not like it, we can only support it through digitization and fiscal consolidation investments and sustainable economic development, without putting additional pressure on the correct taxpayers”, Marcel Bolos also said.
