Net investment of RON 34.65 billion/rd EUR 6.97 billion in the national economy in Q1 2024

The net investment made in the national economy amounted to RON 34.65 billion / rd EUR 6.97 billion in the first quarter of 2024, up by 6.7% compared to the first quarter of 2023, according to the data of the National Institute of Statistics, published on Wednesday.

An increase of 165.2% was registered in the structural element of other investment expenses (expenses for geological and drilling works, for the purchase of working, production and reproduction animals, vineyards, trees, afforestation, expenses for the acquisition of household inventory objects of the nature of fixed assets, expenses for research and design studies related to investment objectives and for services related to the transfer of ownership), with amounts of RON 6.34 billion.

On the other hand, a decline in investment was registered in new construction works, which drew RON 18.53 billion at current prices, down 9% in volume, and in machinery (including means of transport), with investment of RON 9.77 billion, lower by 0.9%.
