Net investments in the economy are at a historical record, exceeding 80 billion RON in H1, double the amount compared to the 2020-2021 government period, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said.

„Net investments in the economy are at a historic record, exceeding 80 billion RON in H1. 10 billion RON more than the same period last year, double compared to the 2020-2021 government period. Practically, the official data confirm the figures of Eurostat and those of the BNR, Romania having switched to a development model based on investments”, declared Marcel Ciolacu on Wednesday in the Government meeting.

The prime minister added that the Government would continue to massively support investments.

„That’s why we continue to massively support investments. Today we approve 2.5 billion to pay for investments in local communities, managed through PNDL and PNRR. Another 600 million RON go to the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, we pay the beneficiaries of modern infrastructure projects of transport that protects the environment and we can contract new investments in green transport”, declared Ciolacu.
