Net investments in Romanian economy down by 0.8 pct in first half of 2022

Net investments in the national economy totaled 57.25 billion RON, in the first six months of this year, down 0.8 pct compared to the same period of 2021, according to data published on Friday, by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), according to Agerpres.

In the reference period, the decrease was recorded in the case of structural elements other expenses (-15.4%) and machinery (including means of transport) – minus 4.6%. On the other hand, there was a 3.3% increase in net investments in the structural element of new construction works.

According to the cited source, in Q2 2022, the net investments made in the national economy were 33.019 billion RON, down by 1.4%, compared to the same period of 2021.

The decrease was generated, in the case of structural elements, in other expenses (-16%) and in equipment (including means of transport) – minus 7.6%. Growth was recorded only in the case of new construction works, namely by 3.3%.
