The Inspectorate General for Emergency Situations (IGDSU) issued a new RO-ALERT message during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday for the northern area of Tulcea County, against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine.
Through the RO-ALERT message, the population was warned about the possibility of falling objects from the airspace and was urged to take protective measures, with the duration of the air raid alert being approximately 90 minutes.
„Following the air raid alert, six calls were registered to the single emergency number 112, with additional information being requested. People didn’t know why they were hearing resounding blows,” spokesperson for the Delta Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Cristina Profir said.
Moreover, on social media, several individuals reacted to the post regarding the extreme alert announced by the authorities and noted that the noises „can be heard and felt quite strongly.” Some posted photos showing the sky lit red in the dark of night, while others shared videos of the sounds of aircraft.
