Nicolae Ciuca: Government to approve setting up of Romanian Committee for Artificial Intelligence

Published on

The government will approve the establishment of the Romanian Committee for Artificial Intelligence, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca informs on Friday, according to Agerpres.

„This is about a memorandum based on which we ensure the establishment of the Romanian Committee for Artificial Intelligence. We have been discussing about this field and we are trying to do everything in our power to be able to align with the other EU states. We already have 52 million euros available, through the POCIDIF, for the creation of the hub for artificial intelligence. As such, we must do it so that we will be able use the intelligence of our researchers and of those who are concerned and work in the field of research and innovation both in the country and abroad, to be able to engage in this hub at the national level and also to be able to integrate into what has been created at the level of the European Union,” stated Nicolae Ciuca, on Friday, at the Government meeting.
