Romania’s Nuclearelectrica NationalCorporation reported a 2025 net profit of RON 2.397 billion, up 40.4% year-on-year, according to a financial report submitted on Friday to the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB).
In 2024, the company reported a net profit of RON 1.708 billion.
According to data published on Friday, operating revenues increased by 20% to RON 5.75 billion, from RON 4.79 billion in 2024, mainly as a result of a 20.7% increase in revenues from the sale of electricity, which reached RON 5.59 billion.
EBITDA increased by 29.7% to RON 3.09 billion, and operating profit (EBIT) rose by 38.6% to RON 2.37 billion.
Operating expenses, less depreciation and amortisation and contribution to the Energy Transition Fund (CFTE), increased by 1.7% to RON 2.15 billion. At the same time, the expenses with the contribution to the Economic Transition Fund advanced by 74.7%, to RON 504.5 million.
The net financial result was RON 404.8 million, up 44.7% from 2024, as financial revenues were 32.6% higher and financial expenses decreased by 34.8%.
At the same time, expenditure on corporate income tax increased by 34% to 381.3 million lei.
The power production delivered by the Cernavoda NPP to the national grid was 10.115 million MWh in 2025, up 1% from 10.019 million MWh in 2024.
