The number of registrations of natural and legal persons increased, in the first eight months of 2025, by 19.43%, compared to the similar period in 2024, totaling 96,084 registrations, of which 67.12% were LLCs, according to data centralized by the National Office of the Trade Register (ONRC), consulted by AGERPRES.

The most registrations were recorded in Bucharest Municipality, respectively 21,616 (+14.73%, compared to the first eight months of 2024) and in the counties of Ilfov (5,906, +24.36%), Cluj (4,598, +14.49%), Timis (4,518, +25.47%), Iasi (4,032, +25.65%) and Brasov (3,242, +12.26%).

At the opposite pole, the lowest number of registrations was recorded, in the first eight months of this year, in the counties of Covasna (535, +37.18% compared to the same period in 2024), Ialomita (622, +18.48%), Mehedinti (657, +11.17%), Teleorman (672, +22.4%) and Tulcea (684, +33.07%).

Increases in the number of registrations were recorded in all counties, the highest being recorded in the counties of Dolj (+59.35%), Alba (+54.2%), Braila (+38.41%), Caras-Severin (37.54) and Covasna (+37.18%).

According to ONRC, the fields in which the most registrations were made are: wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (16,105), transport and storage (15,677), professional, scientific and technical activities (9,411) and construction (9,161).

In August 2025, 7,613 natural and legal persons were registered, most of them in Bucharest (1,683) and in the counties of Ilfov (582), Cluj (384), Timis (367) and Iasi (287).AGERPRES
