As many as 11.794 retirees were collecting service pension in August 2024, by 98 more compared to the previous month, the majority thereof (5,664) being beneficiaries of Law 303/2022 on the status of prosecutors and judges, shows data centralized by the National Public Pensions Office (CNPP).
The highest average service pension was also registered in the category of beneficiaries of Law 303/2002, at RON 25,184, of which RON 22,068 were covered from the state budget, and RON 6,870 from the public social security budget.
According to the CNPP, 823 people were collecting in August retirement benefits as per Law No. 216/2015 on the grant of service pension to the members of Romania’s diplomatic and consular corps. The average pension for this category was RON 6,651, of which RON 3,147 were borne by the state budget.
As for the beneficiaries of Law No. 215/2015 amending and complementing Law No. 7/2006 on the status of parliamentary civil servants, their number was 899, with the average pension amounting to RON 5,771 (RON 3,289 covered from the state budget).
According to the National Public Pensions Office, 1,392 retirees were collecting benefits as per Law 83/2015 supplementing Law 223/2007 on the status of Romania’s civil aviation personnel, and the average pension amounted to RON 12,937, of which RON 8,291 paid from the state budget.
There were 689 service pension beneficiaries from the Court of Accounts, the average amount standing at RON 9,949, of which RON 3,167 covered from the state budget.
Also, 2,327 retirees were collecting benefits under Law No. 130/2015 supplementing Law No. 567/2004 on the status of specialist auxiliary staff of courts and prosecutor’s offices, the average pension being RON 6,566, of which RON 3,703 covered from the state budget.
