Over 124,000 people enter Romania on Sunday, including 11,467 Ukrainian nationals

As many as 124,630 people entered Romania on Sunday through border checkpoints across the country, including 11,467 Ukrainian nationals, down by 4.73 pct compared to the previous day, the General Border Police Inspectorate (IGPF) informs in a press release sent to Agerpres on Monday.

According to the cited source, 291,600 people, Romanian and foreign nationals, with more than 66,000 means of transport underwent border checks at all of Romania’s crossing points, both on the inbound and on the outbound.

As of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 2,202,029 Ukrainian nationals entered our country.

On Sunday, 15 foreign nationals who did not meet the legal requirements were denied entry to the country and 48 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
