Over 148,000 persons enter Romania on Friday, including 7,371 Ukrainians

The General Inspectorate of Border Police (IGPR) informs that on Friday, 148,800 people entered Romania through the border crossing points, including 7,371 Ukrainian citizens, write Agerpres.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Saturday, about 238,600 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, with more than 64,200 means of transport, went through the control formalities at the border points throughout the country, both on the way in and on the way out.

As of February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 3,934,748 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.

In the areas of jurisdiction, the crossing points and the „green border”, the police found 44 illegal acts (20 offences and 24 contraventions) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the value of the fines imposed amounted to over 12,000 lei.

Goods worth approximately 616,300 lei were seized for confiscation.

On Friday, 16 foreign citizens were not allowed to enter the country because they did not meet the conditions provided by the law and 29 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave the country for various legal reasons.
