Just over two months after its launch, the ANAF e-Auctions platform has generated direct revenue of 15.3 million lei from online auctions. In addition, the state recovered over 3 million lei after taxpayers paid their debts to avoid the sale of their assets.

The Ministry of Finance announces the first results of the ANAF e-Auctions platform, launched on March 30: over 18 million lei recovered for the budget through online auctions and increased voluntary compliance.

Of this amount, 15,311,971 lei were collected from online auctions, and over 3 million lei were paid by taxpayers after the assets were listed on the platform, prior to the completion of foreclosure proceedings.

In total, from launch to the present, 78 auctions have been awarded, with final prices averaging 17% higher than the starting prices.

“ANAF e-Auctions clearly demonstrate what digitization can mean: faster recovery of funds for the budget, greater transparency, and broader access for citizens.

At the same time, the fact that in 17 cases taxpayers paid their debts in full after the assets were published confirms an important point: visible and clear procedures increase compliance.

ANAF must continue in this direction: less bureaucracy, more transparency, and digital tools that support proper collection,” stated Alexandru Nazare, Minister of Finance.

The platform also generated significant public interest:
– 15,311,971 lei collected from online auctions;
– over 3 million lei collected through voluntary compliance;
– 78 auctions awarded;
– 17 auctions canceled after full payment of tax obligations;
– winning bid prices 17% higher, on average, than the starting price;
– 1,727,885 unique visitors;
– 70,009,885 visits to the platform.

The ANAF e-Auctions platform expands public access to procedures for the sale of seized assets and allows a larger number of interested parties to participate, regardless of location. By increasing visibility and competition among participants, the state can secure better prices, and the procedures become more transparent.

The ANAF e-Auctions platform is part of a broader process of digitizing the tax administration, through which the Ministry of Finance aims to transition from cumbersome, fragmented, and difficult-to-access procedures to simpler, more transparent, and more efficient digital services. Projects such as the iBon app, digital verification of tax receipts, the expanded use of risk analysis, the modernization of taxpayer interactions through online services, and the development of tools that allow ANAF to act more quickly and with greater precision.
