Over 2.6 million Romanians to benefit from new tranche of 250 RON for foodstuff in October

Over 2.6 million Romanians will benefit in October from a new tranche of 250 RON (approx. 50 EUR) for the purchase of foodstuff or hot meals, announced Wednesday the Minister of European Investment and Projects, Adrian Caciu, on his Facebook page.

The beneficiaries of this support granted by the Romanian Government are: persons (children and adults) classified as severely, markedly or moderately disabled, whose monthly income is less than or equal to 2,210 RON; families with at least 2 children in their care, whose monthly income per family member is less than or equal to 675 RON; single-parent families whose monthly income per family member is less than or equal to 675 RON.

At the same time, this aid also benefits families and single persons who have had their right to the inclusion allowance established, in accordance with Law 196/2016 on the minimum inclusion income, with subsequent amendments and additions; pensioners of the public pension system, pensioners in the records of the sectoral pension funds and beneficiaries of rights granted under special laws, paid by the territorial pension funds/sectoral pension funds, whose monthly income is less than or equal to 2,210 RON; homeless people, as regulated according to the legal provisions in force.
