Approximately 263,300 people, Romanian citizens and foreigners, with over 59,600 means of transportation, carried out, on Sunday, the control formalities, both in the direction of entry and exit, through the Romanian border points, the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs in a statement sent to AGERPRES on Monday, write Agerpres.
As many as 117,700 people entered Romania, of whom 13,711 were Ukrainian citizens.
At the crossing points and the „green border”, the border police detected, on Sunday, 67 illegal acts (32 crimes and 35 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian citizens and foreigners.
The goods seized for confiscation were worth more than 938,700 RON and the amount of contravention fines applied amounted to approximately 34,500 RON.
On Sunday, nine foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions stipulated by the law were not allowed to enter the country, whilst 25 Romanian citizens were also not allowed to leave, for various legal reasons.
