A total of 4,692,810 pensioners were registered in Romania in September 2025, representing an increase of 3,548 compared to the previous month, with the average pension standing at 2,773 lei, according to data compiled by the National Public Pensions House (CNPP), consulted by AGERPRES.

The total value of pension entitlements amounted to 13.012 billion lei.

Of the total number of pensioners, 544,016 had worked in agriculture, with an average pension of 718 lei.

According to CNPP statistics, the number of individuals receiving old-age pensions was 3,767,083, of whom 2,153,359 were women, and the average pension in this category was 3,102 lei.

In September 2025, a total of 2,945 individuals received early retirement pensions (average: 3,774 lei), while 76,386 people received partial early retirement pensions (average: 2,680 lei), and 402,382 people received disability pensions (average: 1,108 lei), including 45,960 who were classified as Grade I disabled (average pension: 967 lei).
