The Palace of Parliament will be illuminated in orange on 25 November to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Social Democratic Party (PSD) deputies Natalia Intotero, Silvia Mihalcea and Simona Bucura Oprescu requested on Wednesday that the Standing Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies approve this action.

‘Tuesday, 25 November 2025, marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. In this context, as a sign of solidarity with all victims of this scourge, we, the undersigned, deputies who are part of the Standing Bureau, propose marking this day by illuminating the Parliament building in orange on that day between 18:30 and 24:00,’ the request of the three MPs reads.

The reconfiguration of the festive architectural lighting of the Palace of Parliament will be carried out by staff from the Centre for Technological Development. AGERPRES
