Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan met on Thursday in Brussels with Roxana Minzatu, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Preparedness.

According to a Government release, at the meeting with Roxana Minzatu, the prime minister underscored that absorption of funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) is a priority.

„The challenges are meeting the milestones and the pace of project implementation. For projects that can no longer be carried out, alternatives will be sought from other sources. The objective is to unblock our European funds,” the Executive head conveyed.

Next week, the Government intends to finalise discussions related to the national budget, PM Bolojan mentioned within the meeting.

According to the Government, the discussions also focused on social policies, with an agreement to seek opportunities to attract funding from the European Social Fund.
