PM Bolojan: Romania will remain an unwavering supporter of Moldova’s ideals

Published on

Romania will remain an unwavering supporter of the ideals of the Republic of Moldova and of the Romanians across the Prut, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said on Wednesday.

He sent a message on the 34th anniversary of the proclamation of Moldova’s Independence.

„Romania will remain an unwavering supporter of the ideals of the Republic of Moldova and of the Romanians across the Prut, as it has proven in the 34 years since the proclamation of the state’s independence. The unique bond of language, culture, history and traditions has created the space of friendship and solidarity between our countries. Romania’s firm, applied and multidimensional support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova is, therefore, the natural step of our brotherly relationship,” the prime minister said in his message.

He also reconfirmed Romania’s support for Moldova’s European journey.

„As I said a few days ago in Chisinau, regardless of the times, we will face the challenges together and we will continue to be the support point of our brothers across the Prut who aspire to a better life, prosperity, rights and freedoms provided by a European statute. Happy Independence Day to Moldova and its citizens!” said Bolojan.
