PM Ciolacu: All state-owned enterprises employees to be paid based on performance

Published on

All employees in state-owned enterprises will be paid based on performance, announced Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu on Thursday, at the beginning of the Government meeting, which is set to approve a draft law in the area.

„Today, we are approving a draft law that will be sent to Parliament, through which we will introduce the highest standards of corporate governance in all state-owned enterprises. For the first time, all employees in these enterprises, including the managers, will be paid based on performance, using OECD [Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development] best practices,” the prime minister said.

He added that the Agency for Monitoring and Evaluating the Performance of State-Owned Enterprises (AMEPIP) has already published the performance indicators.

„Already, AMEPIP, the agency that evaluates all state-owned enterprises, has published the performance indicators for each company and agency individually,” Ciolacu said.
