CORRESPONDENCE – ECOPOLITIC special correspondent Iulian Ionescu reports: Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu gave details on the reorganization of the MFA at a press conference held at the end of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates, saying that it will be done according to the law, starting July 1.
„All ministries, by 1 July, according to the law in force, are reorganising, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Moreover, you can see the dynamics, every day in Dubai there are 100,000 Romanians on holiday. It is normal that the size of the representations, the consulates in Dubai, in Abu Dhabi must be modified, in order to meet the expectations of Romanians.
We have made a procedure, first it goes to the Ministry of Justice, to see the legality aspect and then it goes into transposition. It seems to me that the Ministry of Agriculture is now transposing it”, said the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Thursday in Abu Dhabi that he will reorganise the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At a reception organised by the Romanian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, on the occasion of the visit of a Romanian Government delegation led by Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, he announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be reorganised.
„I am firmly convinced that a reorganisation of the MFA, consular, new headquarters (…) let us try to meet your needs”, said, among other things, Ciolacu, at the meeting with Romanians in the Emirates.
