Published on

Prime minister Marcel Ciolacu said on Monday that the Government did not issue a negative opinion on the draft law on military pensions, as the document is still pending „the Parliament’s decision.”

He was asked if the social democrats will vote in Parliament on the draft law on military pensions, in the context in which the Government allegedly issued a „negative opinion” in respect to it.

Last Friday, the prime minister said that both he and the Government support the adoption in the Parliament, in the shortest possible time, of the draft law on the elimination of inequities in military pensions, respectively the legislative proposal for the completion of Law no. 223/2015 regarding the military pensions in the public syste, a statement made at the end of the consultations he had with the representatives of the associations of military reservists protesting in Victoriei Square.m

He estimated that the draft law will be approved this week in the Chamber of Deputies, and in two weeks it will also pass the Senate.
